Our Story
The Delta Phi Lambda Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization committed to empower the women of Delta Phi Lambda and the communities they serve by funding scholarships, supporting philanthropic endeavors, and promoting leadership development. With the financial support of our donors, we can provide women with the tools they need to sustain a chapter and fund programs that award women for academic and professional achievements.

Our History
Timeline of Key Milestones
- 2010 - The Delta Phi Lambda Foundation was founded and incorporated by Lillie Madali on December 22, 2010 making us the first nonprofit Foundation in the National APIDA Panhellenic Association (NAPA).
- 2011 - Established the first merit-based scholarship, AFLV Central Leadership Conference, which the Foundation awarded 5 scholarships totaling $500 to assist members with attendance at the 2011 Midyear Leadership Conference.
- 2011 - Established the second merit-based scholarship, Academic Excellence Scholarship, which the Foundation awarded 1 scholarship totaling $300.
- 2014 - The IRS granted the Foundation with a tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3), which allows donors to receive a tax write-off.
- 2014 - Established the third merit-based scholarship, The Hannah Seoh Alumnae Scholarship, which the Foundation awarded 1 scholarship totaling $300.
- 2014 - Established the first Joint Resolution between the Foundation and the Sorority.
- 2017 - Established the first restricted scholarship fund, Georgia Institute of Technology Scholarship Fund, thanks to contributions from 7 Delta Phi Lambda members.
- 2018 - The Foundation won its first "Foundation of the Year" award from the National APIDA Panhellenic Association.
- 2019 - The Foundation enlists the largest and most diverse Board in age and region expanding to eight members.
- 2020 - The Foundation celebrated their 10-year anniversary.
- 2020 - The Foundation won its second "Foundation of the Year" award from the National APIDA Panhellenic Association.
- 2020 - Established the first need-based grant, Emergency Relief Fund, which the Foundation awarded 11 scholarships totaling $5,500 in emergency aid to Collegiate and Alumnae Members in financial need as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- 2022 - Established the second and third need-based grant, Member Support Grant and Chapter Leadership Grant.
- 2022 - The Foundation won its third "Foundation of the Year" award from the National APIDA Panhellenic Association.
